Purpose

Practice subtraction

Resources

  • Dice
  • Scrap paper
  • Pens

How to play:

Each player writes the number “99” at the top of their paper

  1. One player rolls both dice
  2. Add them together
  3. Then, subtract the sum from their starting number of 99
  4. After working this out, write the number remaining on the paper

For example:

Roll a 6 and 1

6 + 1 = 7

99 – 7 = 92

Write 92

  • The next player takes a turn to roll the dice and the total of the dice needs to be subtracted from 92
  • The first player to get to zero wins
