Naughty threes
Players throw two dices to try and get identical numbers. Each identical throw is worth specific points. The first player to score 30 wins.
Purpose
- Learners get to practice addition and skip counting
Materials
- Flip chart
- Paper
- Pen/pencil
- Kokis
- 2 dice per pair (or 1 pair to share)
How to play:
- Take turns to throw both dice.
- Players only score when two identical numbers are thrown e.g. two 1’s, two 2’s, and so on.
- The first player to score 30 wins
Variations:
• Change values of the dice to practice other skip counting sequences e.g. 2s, 3s and 4s
• Change the target score to a bigger or smaller number.
